SP3 Questionaire

Here goes nuttin'.

1. Are you a yarn snob (do you prefer high-end/natural fibers)? Do you avoid Red Heart and Lion Brand? Or is it all the same to you?

I am definitely not a fiber snob. If it's nice to touch, I'll knit with it. In fact, my favorite yarn ever is Bernat's Denim Style, which is a really awesome cotton acrylic blend. I guess it depends on the project, really.

2. Do you spin? Crochet?

I have a drop spindle that I'm very nearly proficient at spinning with, and I'm probably going to get a spinning wheel in the very near future. I also crochet, but not nearly as much when I did when I was younger.

3. Do you have any allergies? (smoke, pets, fibers, perfume, etc.)

I have a slight allergy to smoke.

4. How long have you been knitting?

I think I've been knitting for four years... maybe five.

5. Do you have an Amazon or other online wish list?

Nope.

6. What's your favorite scent? (for candles, bath products etc.)

Jasmine.

7. Do you have a sweet tooth?

Yes. Especially chocolate and mint.

8. What other crafts or Do-It-Yourself things do you like to do?

I sometimes do cross stitch.

9. What kind of music do you like? Can your computer/stereo play MP3s? (if you want to make her a CD)

I like almost everything, though I'm not particularly a big fan of new country or rap.

10. What's your favorite color? Or--do you have a color family/season/palette you prefer?

I lurve purple. And I'm suddenly finding myself attracted to hot pink and black together.

11. What is your family situation? Do you have any pets?

I'm newly married, no kids, with two cats who are plotting to destroy me, but fortunately have no interest whatsoever in yarn. (Except once, because I was delinquent in my litter changing duties, I found a ball of alpaca wound 'round four rooms in my apartment.)

12. What are your life dreams? (really stretching it here, I know)

I want to open a combination yarn shop and coffee house.

13. What is/are your favorite yarn/s to knit with?

I love it all, from lace weight to super bulky.

14. What fibers do you absolutely *not* like?

Scratchy acrylic.

15. What is/are your current knitting obsession/s?

Socks are a constant obsession, and my current obsession is icelandic style fair isle.

16. What is/are your favorite item/s to knit?

Probably socks. They can be super complicated or super easy, and they're very portable. Which is good, because I knit on the El train.

17. What are you knitting right now?

What aren't i knitting right now? ;) I think I've got three sweaters going, two or possibly three socks, and who knows what else. I keep finding random projects that I forgot I'd even started.

18. What do you think about ponchos? (this is really a curiousity question for us)

I like how they look on people, and I love them until I try and wear one out of the house. There's just no good way to carry a purse/bag with one on.

19. Do you prefer straight or circular needles?

Circs. For sure.

20. How did you learn to knit?

From a Leisure Arts "I can't believe I'm knitting" book.

21. How old is your oldest UFO?

I have a four(?) year old, terrifically bad Lion Brand Homespun sweater that is approximately the size of a Buick that I have resolved never to finish. I think my next oldest UFO is almost a year old.
