Twice!
So I'm trying to hold myself to the "Write something in the blog everyday" rule that i set monday, and since i didn't write anything yesterday, i'm writing twice today.
Which is kind of hard because i really don't feel as if i have anything remotely interesting to write about. But I feel like i should write whatever comes to mind regardless of the interest factor because, let's face it, to my knowledge i'm the only one who sees this page anyway. But feel free to prove me wrong on that. Comment now, comment often.
So i'm awaker now than i was earlier, which is a good thing because i no longer feel as if i could curl up under my desk and sleep for fifteen hours. I don't know why i'm so tired all the time all of a sudden. I'm inclined to believe it's the weather, and my inner grizzly bear is wanting to hibernate. (Yes, that's right, my inner grizzly. Ya wanna make something of it?) I've tried to figure out what it might be and other than a diet comprised primarily of carbs (Oprah, eat your heart out) I have no idea what it could be. I know, it's probably the carb thing. I'm just not a big meat eater. Which is not to say i don't appreciate a big steak or whatever from time to time, it's just that a big steak requires a lot more preparation than say... a pacakage of ramen. You can do ramen in the microwave! And now that i think about it, i didn't eat dinner last night. At least not a proper dinner. I had a package of chips and a powerbar before i left work and later in the night after i got home i had some process cheeze filled soft pretzel things and a couple of glasses of milk. Unless Scruffy has other ideas, i might cook tonight. Make the chicken'n'sauce thing.
I'm now at a roadblock. Joy. I'm going to try and keep writing, but it'll probably be incredibly boring or nonsensical or non-sequiturical or some crap like that or it might just be a long paragraph about how awful it is and not actually be anything but that, a criticism of something that in a manner of speaking, doesn't really exist. Like this paragraph, for example.
I've started doing more tech support stuff at work, and i really like it. I upgraded mail accounts from Netscape to Microsoft, including transfering emails. Which really is nothing special, but it felt like "real" work. As in something more tangible than what i've been doing for awhile, which is data checking/quality control. I've not really had to write a crystal report or anything in awhile, and at least with that, there's some product at the end. Some fruit of labour, which with the data checking is much more subtle, if not non-existant. If the data-entry types made more mistakes, it would give me something to do, but it would also suck because i'd be constantly paranoid that the data i was reporting on was corrupted.
Ooh, we may finally be getting the activity merge manager which is hella exciting because it will merge duplicate records and get them out of the database which will make me so happy. That way, we will get so much crap out of the database (which is a bitch to type) and that is a good thing.
So that's it really. I got a bunch of words down on the page, and they even appear to make sense.
Rock.
So Tired
And I don't really know why. I got plenty of sleep last night, and i'm just having the hardest time keeping my eyes open right now. My boss's boss even commented that i seem really lethargic and almost as if i'm floating through the office. Which i would say is about right. I'm struggling to keep my eyes open as i write this. I could down a cuppa, but i'm not so keen on the artificial awake, if you will. But i should or i'm going to fall asleep here and now. And that would be bad.

I'm Such a Loser
I've not written anything in ages because it occured to me that I hate writing.
Ok, that's a lie. I do NOT hate writing. It's just really challenging to come up with anything remotely interesting some days and I'd really hate to bore the zero people that actually take the time to read this.
Lots of things have happened since I wrote last, like selling out competely and becoming an IKEA whore. Not that there's anything wrong with that... I got a wicked cool shower curtain, which is exciting, and a rug and some towels and some art and the bathroom looks like a completely new room! So i'm happy with that.
I'm happy with most things in general. Except for still being at work at five thirty on a monday. With forty minutes to go. I suppose it could be worse, it could be another hour. Or two more hours. That would be really awful, though i suppose there are worse things. After all, had i come to work on time, i.e. before ten ten, i wouldn't still be here. Though i might be as i'm going to see That Guy do an open mic thingy at some coffee house in Wrigleyville, which, according to centerstage.net promises to be "one of the best places to go to sit and read, sip coffee or just people-watch." So i would still be here anyway as it'd be a major timewaster to go home just to turn back around and go halfway back downtown when i'm practically passing the place on the way home, so i'd've just waited it out here anyway.
That's about all that's going on right this minute.
Oh, and i got screwed by being young again... I was going to go to CA for work, being an assistant to one of our field staff doing a one day training thing, and yes, it included a 200 mile drive by myself in a rental car. Or would've if i had a major credit card, as apparently you need a major credit card to rent a car if you're under 25. But i don't. I don't have a major credit card because i have no credit history. I have no credit history because no one will issue me a credit card. Do we start to see the conflict here?
Bleh.

I Am So Sleepy
I don't know if it's the weather or the move or what, but I am so tired today. I think it's the weather as i got a good solid seven hours last night, and for me, that's a lot of sleep. I think all the cloudy rainy-ness is making me want to kick into hibernation mode.
And I have to work late today.
And get up early tomorrow. Bleh. But I've got to get to work on time and I've got to try and figure out what the heck time to get up in the morning. Or take a shower the night before so I can squeak a couple of extra minutes in in the morning. ::shrugs:: The joys of moving.
I know, I know. I'm bitching. But I'm happy with my life now, really. I'm just tired and complain-y right now.
