Yeah, snow? You were cute at first. I thought you made things look all pretty and otherworldly and sparkly. You made things look like a movie. Coating the tree branches, creating nifty patterns of frost on the windows. I was charmed, utterly yours.
But now, dear snow, GO AWAY.
I know I should know better. Yes, I know I live in Chicago. I also know that I grew up in Michigan where the snow right now is even worse, where E-Prime is, at this very moment, begging the venerable Lord Smegmo to dump even more nastiness down on him so that he can go home early again. And no, I'm not surprised by the snow. I'm not at the point where (unlike the local news) I'm shocked and alarmed by the snowfall. I'm not thinking that this should be the top news story at 5, 6 and 11 pm (or whenever the hell the news is on here. I'm still not completely comfortable with CST television schedules. I spent the better part of the first year I moved here turning on a program as it was ending. Eastern time prime time TV starts at 8pm. None of this pansy 7pm crap. Though, I must confess, I like CST better for that reason now. Now that I'm not missing crap all the time.) What am I talking about?
Snow. Go away snow.
