What a Killer...

On this day in 1521: A Spanish force under Hernán Cortés, aided by Tlaxcalan allies, completes its capture of the Aztec capital Tenochtitlán (the site of present-day Mexico City), after an eight-week siege.

He came dancing across the water
With his galleons and guns
Looking for the new world
In that palace in the sun.

And he probably did it all before the first guitar solo ended, too.

(This is kind of funny, too.)
