Hi y'all

I finished the socks below on Saturday night. At a baseball game.

It was a super busy-super good weekend. Friday night we went to DeKalb and saw Bicycle Day and Moto play and they both rocked my (as yet unfinished) socks off. Wicked wicked cool...

Saturday morning, I went to the gym. (did I mention that I joined a gym? I don't think I have mentioned that, but I did. Through the Park District here. It's really nice and I really enjoy working out.) And nearly killed myself. I was feeling like a bad-ass, so I was treadmilling far faster and more inclined than i should have and that was sucky. But I couldn't help myself, I was rocking out to the Stooges, and it just seemed like the right thing to do. And then I think i went to Target. Yes. I went to Target and got a pickinick blanket thingy and new shoes that rock. And something else, but I don't remember what. Then we went and met up with a bunch of folks and watched a baseball game. And then went back to Scruffy's friend's sister's house and preceded to get drunk. Twas fun. Then I fell asleep on the couch. We got home at some insane hour like 3:30am.

Sunday we got up and threw some clothes in a bag and drove to Madison, WI. (Wisconsin, the land of cheap porn, cheese and fireworks.) We hung out with Isaac and Alex and some other folks, and a good time was had by all. I really liked Madison. I think I could live there, and that would be cool. We spent most of Sunday and Monday and drove home late last night. While we were there we saw the Monona Terrace (Oh, and Isaac and Alex live next door to a Frank Lloyd Wright house, too, which is cool.) and also the UW student union which is right on the lake, (man, that was cold after awhile, but thar be ducks there!) Also we saw the Olbrich Botanical Garden and the day was beautiful and the garden was lovely and they had a fantastic Thai pavilion, and if i remember correctly, it's the only one of it's kind in all of North America.

It was really, really, really hard to get up and come to work this morning. Really hard. But there's Stitch-n-Bitch tonight, so that's what's keeping me going at the mo. I'm working on new... (wait for it...) socks. The May part of the Fiber Nooks and Crannys Sock of the Month Club. (See the socks in progress both here and here.

1 hour and 50 minutes to go!
